About the Plant The Ficus lyrata is a very unusual plant. It's common name is the Fiddle Leaf Fig, and is derived from the large shapely leaves. In it's juvenile form the leaves grow directly from the main stem, but as it matures, branches break away from the trunk, with leaves forming away from that trunk. It is an impressive tree, and can really create an impression. Sometimes, though, I feel as if they are like Marmite, you either love them or hate them, I love them! |
